    Following is the review page configured for this plugin:

    http://wl-brownlaw.com/reviews-and-testimonials/

    The title is there on the page.

    Nothing is on this page resulting from this plugin. How can users enter and submit a review?

    Please, advise.

    Thank you.

    Hi helices,

    Try clearing the cache for WP Super Cache (or just for that page if you can). I know it clears the cache on a new review being approved, but I might have missed the WP Super Cache clearing upon settings update.

    If the plugin is enabled on that page, it should show up after you clear the cache. If so, let me know and a more proper fix will be included in the next version.

    Thanks,
    Aaron

    Thank you, for your suggestion, Aaron.

    No, I've deleted the cache several times and refreshed the page on several browsers - still nothing displays.

    What else could this be?

    It could be that the page template doesn't output using the normal method. You could look at the page template and see what is below

    <div class="entry page clear">

    Inside of that div is where it should be performing some wordpress function to get the page content. Do you have any other pages (not posts) on your blog, and if so, does the content display on them?

    If you add text to the top of the Reviews and Testimonials page, does it show up?

    The CSS and Javascript are loading for that page, so it means the settings are all correct. The only other explanation really is the page template for the theme itself.

    Let me know what you find out.

    Aaron

    Hi, Aaron!

    Very strange!

    When I DE-activate your plugin, the page content "hello, world" displays.

    WITH your plugin active, NO content displays!

    Is this what you want from page.php?

    <div class="entry page clear">
    <?php the_content(); ?>
    <?php edit_post_link( __( 'Edit this', 'vigilance' ), '<p>', '</p>' ); ?>
    <?php wp_link_pages(); ?>
    </div><!--end entry-->

    Please, advise.

    Best Regards,

    helices

    Good to know. I will check it out and see if I can reproduce.. What theme and version of the theme are you using?

    Vigilance PRO 2.2.2 by The Theme Foundry: http://thethemefoundry.com/

    They have other themes. Your plugin works with their Traction theme. They have not been very cooperative on debugging this, defaulting to they do not guarantee working with any plugin.

    Here is relevant sections of page.php:

    Please, advise.

    My guess is that there is something odd with the vigilance framework ( I believe Vigilance is more of a framework than a theme).. See if you can find anything out from them.. if not, I will see if I can debug it but it's hard to do without having the actual theme :(

    Can you see anything in the code diffs?

    I could put up a temp instance of theme and give you access ...

    It should be outputting with the_content() , which is in both themes.. Since it is not, there is something odd with the vigilance pro theme.

    How can I resolve this?

    We'll try to figure it out. Is there any way you can provide FTP access to your blog folder so I can do some debugging with that theme? I'm thinking it -could- be a filter priority issue with that theme.

    If so, you can contact me at aaron ([at]) gowebsolutions.com

    I hate seeing any type of issue with the plugin, so I am determined to get this resolved.

    Hi helices,

    1.2.3 will be released in a few minutes, with a workaround (and faster) to the the_content filter problem. We will now try using an action hook instead of a filter hook, which should fix this problem.

    Please let me know if 1.2.3 fixes the problem for you.

    Thanks,
    Aaron

    I spoke too soon ;<

    Of three (3) vigilance instances, the plugin works on one and NOT on two.

    I'm now at v1.2.4 on all.

    What else to do?

    My bad!

    The one that worked was v1.2.3 only.

    Upgrading to v1.2.4 BROKE this under ALL vigilance instances ;<

    What next?

    1.2.3 happened to break most everything besides vigilance.. Very odd. Email me at aaron (at) gowebsolutions.com and we'll get to the bottom of this on vigilance.
