WP Custom Fields Search
CUSTOM FIELD contains "EX20" and "1AA" (1 post)

    Hi there

I am trying to use your plugin as a Post Code (UK version of Zip Code) search. I have custom post fields that authors write the post code into, i.e. "EX20 2BB". I have attempted to use the Words In setting to search occurances of these fields and to a point it works. If you search for an exact post code that appears in the database then the post is found. However, instead of searching for X and X, eg:

CUSTOM FIELD contains "EX20" and "1AA"

I would like the system to search for X OR X, so that if only the first part of the post code is known, eg. EX20, then the search will provide details for posts that include EX20 but not necessarily the second part of the post code.

In the UK, the first part, EX20, is a broad area, and the second is a more specific location, so being able to bring up posts with a post code that matches the broad area is my goal.

Is it possible to configure something so that the Words In function helps you find posts containing x OR x ?

    Thanks in advance,
    James
