I’ve run into a unique problem where right after installation of your forum, I move the automatically created “Forums” page to be a sub-page of another. I created a Category, Forum, and posted in that forum from the admin area.

When I go to view my forum page, it shows nothing. I checked the database for postmeta and it had ‘wpbb-template.php’ set for ‘_wp_page_template’ meta-key for the post number that was created, as expected.

I’ve tried re-installing the forum twice now. Once I just left the automatically generated page where it was originally created and just added my category, forum, and post. It still didn’t show up.

I found that, with my current theme, if I move wpbb-template.php to my theme’s root and rename it to page-forums.php, it will load the template.

I think I’ll just try that and see where it goes.

    Ah, found the problem.

Your plugin assumes that permanent FTP access has been enabled. When I was first installing this plugin, I didn’t have it set up so at activation it didn’t move the wpbb-template.php file to my current theme’s folder.

Now that I know, I’ll continue with the forum.

Reinstalled with permanent FTP access enabled and works fine.

Yep. That worked. Editing the template now to match my theme.

    Hey skpacman,

Glad you got it working. Will add a custom error message in there when this happens.

    Thanks.
