Hi, without some more information it’s really difficult for me to know what’s happening. Have a look at this post and let me know your theme, theme version, WP Biographia version and all the other information in the post and I’ll do my best to look at this for you.

Hi,
thanks, here some infos:
- the theme is the newest version of NEWSCAST from Kriesi:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/newscast/
- I use your newest version of this plugin.
- In the sidebar the “latest posts” are shown with a theme’s widget, no external plugin.
Unfortunately my theme cannot go online at the moment, there are too many things to do, it’s still in maintenance mode, but I have a described screenshot:

For the moment I just want to prevent WP Biographia from being shown in the sidebar below the latest posts/excerpts.

Note:
in WP Biographia’s settings, at “Display” I have only marked “Display On Individual Posts”, all others are unchecked.
At “Display location” I have checked “Display the Biography Box after the post or page content”.

Hmmm …. I would suspect that the theme is using the WordPress Loop to get posts to put in the sidebar and because of this, the plugin is automagically adding the Biography Box. It’s very difficult, if not impossible, for the plugin to determine whether it’s being called in the main part of a template or in the sidebar via a widget.
But as the theme costs $45.00 to download I can’t look at the source to verify this I’m afraid.

Haven’t heard anything back on this for 4 weeks now so I’m assuming you’ve sorted it and I’m flagging this as resolved. Feel free to reopen this thread if it’s still an ongoing issue.
