Posting not showing up on social networks (20 posts)

Recently just activiated a new WordPress multi-site setup under WordPress 3.3. I have used the WordSocial plugin to syndicate posts to Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter with other blogs set up like this but never have a problem. But this install under 3.3 will not work at all.

Having two problems. First, the only way I could authenticate my social accounts was to first disable Joost's Google Analytics plugin. That seemed to do the trick. But when I try to send out posts it does not appear on any of my social accounts. Anybody else running into this issue?

I am authenticated on all of my accounts (fb,tw,li), however wordsocial is not posting any of my new posts created on wordpress to my social sites whatsoever.

That is where I am now too. Authenticating, but no posting. Since this is a new install I am not sure if it is the 3.3 upgrade or something else. Did you start having this problem with 3.3 mkormendy?

This was happening well before my upgrade to 3.3. I activated the plugin, set up and authenticated, and nothing is working. I'm running this on a multisite setup too.

I had troubles when I installed under 3.2 on my old multisite network, but did get it to work. The only difference I can think of is my other multi was using subfolders, while my new one uses subdomains.

My installation has always been subfolders.

I seem to have the same problem, authenticated to all the three but no posts showing up. I am running 3.3 WP. Any ideas how to debug or see logs on where it may be failing? Thank you for the help.

Once I get my server back up and running, I am going to contact the developer that created the plugin. I will post the steps I took to try and resolve my situation, regardless of success or failure.

Similar problem, but I was able to get it to post to Twitter okay. What it's doing that is crazy, is hyperactively reloading the FB login/share page (I was logged into my FB alread), and between FB pop up reloads, it'll show a "1" in the FB Like box, but then it goes away. Some hiccup I think, maybe with the passthrough API. FB changes their regulations so often, I'm thinking it's just their site (for me, at least). I can't get any of my other FB Like button plugins to work now either (still troubleshooting).

I have left a message with the developer on Twitter. He has not replied.

for me it's actually working on facebook now. there is a checkbox you can see when you post on the right side of the screen. Says

    WordSocial

    Publish on:
    [x] Facebook

make sure that's checked. you can even do it on old posts when you update.

Help me, oh Tebow... I was notified late today by one of my dear FB colleagues, that my ONE test post has posted to FB literally 16 times, in illogical series of every hour to two hours... I can NOT see in my FB profile where that's happening, so that I could troubleshoot--she says it just shows up in her wall that I posted about it. I did check LinkedIN and in fact, it's doing what she says there too--but, at least I can delete the repeats over there. I think the FB "like" posts to my FB pages vs. to my wall/profile? What a mess... still troubleshooting...

The REAL problem is that any "SCHEDULED" post will not be posted to Facebook or Twitter or LinkedIn, even if you check the buttons to do so.

Any work around or Fix to this????

I'm really sorry. I just make a new version with, I hope, a fix for that.

The Scheduled post issue should be fixed now. If you still have some posting issues. Please give me some information and repro steps :)

Hey Tommy--I think your last update worked! I'm curious now though--on the post page, there's a block for WordSocial--that says "Publish on..." and gives a checkbox to the left, and then a text field to the right of each. I can't find any documentation about what those are for, and when I try to check each, and also enter my profile name and/or full URL into the text box (because it doesn't say what's supposed to go there)--I get the error message below... However, when I delete the text fields and de-check each--I did immediately get those notifications to the social networks... But, I'm not sure that was before the error message once all were clicked and/or URL'd or if part of the default settings? Just curious. Thanks for updating the plugin--I'll be buying you a pot of coffee :D

The field box after the checkbox is there if you want to add a phrase or a comment to your publication on the social network.

About the errors, it happens when you've enable to use the tags as #hastags in Twitter and try to publish a post without tags. It will be fixed in 0.5.3 ;-)
