• I’m using WordPress.com Stats by Andy Skelton v1.3.8, WordPress was installed on a test site (self hosted Domain A), WordPress.com stats was working correctly, for this self-hosted Domain A, there was a Domain A WordPress Account and API Key used and created.

It was eventually decided to move to a dedidcated new hosting Domain B (new domain purchased etc). So WP was moved with database to the new self-hosting domain. Where also a new WordPress Account and API key were created for this Domain B.

The WordPress.com Stats grumbled initially and it was disabled, but by entering the new API key for this website and logging in starting to work.

    But No Stats….

I’ve checked the wp_options in both domain a and b databases, and both have different blog_ids, and both have the correct API key for the correct blog.

It also knows, it’s the correct blog/api key, because if I’m logged in with the other WordPress account, it tells me this is associated with this domain, please logout and switch accounts.

    Anyone any ideas?

Statpress is recording hits, so people are visiting the site.

this was also a bit bizarre, when adding the API key, it states:-

The API key “xxxxxxxxxxxx” belongs to the WordPress.com account of “username”. If this is not your account, please re-enter your API key.

I click add to WordPress Account, and then I get lots of red which states:-

Error from last API Key attempt:
The owner of that API Key (another username) is not on the access list for this blog (xxxxxxxx). To be added to the access list, you must contact support.

    eh!
