   I tried both automatic and manual installs and when it comes to activating the plugin I get a blank screen and it completely breaks WordPress.

   I have the same issue. Once activated site don't work anymore.

   I was able to fix the issue by increasing the php memory limit as described in http://wordpress.org/support/topic/253495#post-1017842
