    Hi,

Joosts wordpress SEO version 0.1.3 created my sitemaps without issue

updated to 0.1.4 then soon after 0.1.5

however sitemap does not seem to be getting updated when published or re generated.

    Many Thanks

    It's actually working nicely:

    http://luxury-review.com/sitemap.xml

The thing is, if you check the directory for that file, you won't find it, it's located here:

    http://luxury-review.com/wp-content/uploads/wpseo/sitemap.xml

and placed in the first position with WP Rewrite. The reason for doing that is that it works on WP MultiSite too.

    Ok that's great thanks,

just one more question though when submitting sitemap to search engines presumably I use the

    http://luxury-review.com/wp-content/uploads/wpseo/sitemap.xml

and delete the one from my root now whilst using your plugin?

    Thnks for plugin and help

You don't delete the one in your root, it's not there, it's only "fake" there because the plugin makes it appear that way :)

So you can just use the one in your root for search engines.

    Ha ha,

so I deleted the sitemap.xml from my root as I had placed it there before physically when using separate xml sitemap generator,

I re generate from your WP seo CP and says success,

however when I click the link underneath which takes me to

    http://luxury-review.com/sitemap.xml

    I Get

"XML Parsing Error: no element found
    Location: http://luxury-review.com/sitemap.xml
    Line Number 1, Column 1:"

    This seems to be working fine;
    http://luxury-review.com/wp-content/uploads/wpseo/sitemap.xml

    am I doing something stupid?????

    Cheers

I just upgraded to v1.5 also and had similar problems with the sitemap. I deactivated and reactivated the plugin and the sitemap is being generated fine.

    Good luck!

    Joost,
I've spent the last couple of days trying to figure out why I cannot get WordPress SEO working whenever I try to Build XML sitemap I get "error on page" and nothing happens. I've just updated to: Version 0.1.6 and deactivated all my plugins and it still says the same "error on page" when I try to build XML sitemap. I am very new at all of this and I'm sure there is something simple I am missing but even after all my reading I just can't figure out what is wrong. http://www.it-begins-now.com
Any direction would be most appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ann

    foxhats & Joost,
Thanks for the feed back looks like http://it-begins-now.com/sitemap.xml has the sitemap in place. Seems I'm doing some things right in spite of myself. These last two months have been a great learning experience (brand new to the entire blogging world) and the more I learn the more I realize I have SO FAR to go.
By the way Joost, I really am grateful for your comments in your set ups that give us "newbies" a better understanding of what activating a segment of the plug-in means. This has been like learning a foreign language and I’m not a linguist so these descriptions are most appreciated.
    Thanks again,
    Ann
