[resolved] XML Sitemap - WP Install on Subdomain (6 posts)

I'm sure this is a simple question, I just cannot figure it out on my own.

I installed my site at http://SUBDOMAIN.mydomain.com and changed the "Site Address" in WP Settings to http://www.mydomain.com.

I just created the XML sitemap with Yoast SEO but it wrote the sitemap_index.xml to http://SUBDOMAIN.mydomain.com/sitemap_index.xml. How can I change the parameters, even if it means editing the source file, so that the sitemap_index.xml file will be at http://www.mydomain.com/sitemap_index.xml?

    Thanks for your help!!

That'll never really work properly, why are you doing it that way?

It was a beginners mistake. Site's live for some time now and I don't know how to move the site from the subdomain to the root without crashing my site.
