xml sitemap not working. Google not displaying meta data (1 post)

I've just recently downloaded and activated the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast.

I have added the html code to instruct the template to overwrite the default meta data.

We have completed page title and description for every page.
The site pages show the new / amended titles in the window page title so know that these are being picked-up locally on the site

We have not currently excluded any pages from the robots (except the t&c's page)

When all the above was complete we activated the function to generate the xml sitemap. Unfortunately, the sitemap isn't generating - instead I'm getting an error message (as below)

Error loading stylesheet: An unknown error has occurred (805303f4)http://swishthinking.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/css/xml-sitemap.xsl

Google is also still not picking up the meta details we have written - even though they are shown locally. It has been almost two weeks now and I can not figure out what isn't working here.

    Can anyone help?
