Woocommerce Product_type-sitemap.xml parsing error (4 posts)

Are there any recommended settings for using with Woocommerce? The reason I ask is that I'm getting a parsing error on product_type-sitemap.xml. I don't see any way to exclude product types.

    Thanks,

    Tina

    Hey Tina,

I had the same problem and found a solution for it so wanted to share it here.

You can get product_type off by choosing the "Tags" in Exclude Taxonomies section. This same error happens in Coupons and Chipping Classes. Google Webmaster doesn't like Variations either and results "HTML" error.

I have this setup in XML sitemaps section and it's working nicely now.

    Exclude post types
    x Variations
    x Orders
    x Coupons

    Exclude taxonomies
    x Tags
    x Shipping Classes
    x Order statuses

    Hope that helps! :)

Thank you for the information Niko. Just one more question. There are three references to tags in my taxonomies section. Tags under catagories, tags under format, and product tags. Which tags should be excluded?

    Thanks,

    Tina

    Hey Tina,

And sry for the long reply. I didn't made any changes there just under the SEO > XML-sitemaps and clicked these.

    Exclude post types
    x Variations
    x Orders
    x Coupons

    Exclude taxonomies
    x Tags
    x Shipping Classes
    x Order statuses

Nice thing to test it out is to open the sitemap in another page and just Check/Save and Check what works one by one :)

    Cheers,
    Niko
