Title tag not changing (5 posts)

    My title tags are all the same (sitename) even though in Yoast Titles, mine says: %%date%% (I did that as a test to see whether it is drawing the title tag from Yoast).

    What could be causing this?

    My theme does have a wp head line:

    <?php wp_head(); //we need this for plugins ?>

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Josh,

    I had a similar problem and I went into my WordPress settings under "General Settings" and removed the site title and that removed that "sitename" in the page title. If you want to leave that in your settings for some reason, you may need to go into the code for this plugin and remove it, although I haven't tried that. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Jessie!

    I got rid of that line in the Settings area, but it has not helped... Not sure what else to do.

    Josh,

    I found one more thing you could try. Go into your header and find the line that says <title>. I had to completely remove mine and replace it with <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title> exactly. Now it works perfectly and I was able to put the "sitename" back under General Settings.

    Thanks Jessie,

    It is drawing unique title tags on pages that have specific titles, but pages which just rely on the variable are all the same...
