I'm seeing this issue on a new WP install. Once I activate WordPress SEO, Firefox typing slows to a crawl, it's literally unusable. Deactivate the plugin, it runs fine.

Upgrade, I bet you're on an old version.
(If you're not on an old version please do let me know, because then I'd love to look at your install and fix it :) )
Hey Joost,
It's a current version, just installed it on the site yesterday. The site is still in development so I'd rather not give out the URL here. Is there another way to contact you?
Thanks, got your email, let's continue there and see if we can fix this.
Hi Joost,
I'm seeing the same issue, did this get resolved?
My environment:
WP 3.1.2 new install on private network
Server: Mac OS X Server 10.5.8, 2 GB RAM
Client Mac OS X 10.5.8, 4 GB RAM
Browser: Firefox 3.6.17 - Exhibits problem only with WordPress SEO active, no other plugins active. The problem appears in the post and page editors:
Title area: - Yes
Body area Visual tab - No
Body area HTML tab - Yes
Deactivating WordPress SEO eliminates the problem.
Browser: Safari 5.0.5 - Performs as expected, even with WordPress SEO plugin active.
The problem is also seen in Firefox 3.6.17 under Windows XP sp3, but to a lesser degree. In windows it's tolerable, I must type fast to get ahead of the editor, but the slowness is present.
I was also having a problem regarding the performance and noticed that there is a conflict with the Skype plugin. When I deactivate the skype plugin in Firefox/Chrome it runs smoothly.
