Sitemap not updating automatically (3 posts)

Hello. I noticed there is a sitemap setting for "Don't update the XML sitemap automatically when a post is published." I have not checked this, but whenever a new article is published on my site, the sitemap is not being updated.

We are not using the "Post" post type but are using multiple custom post types along with a few Pages. Whenever any of these are published, the new entries do not appear in the sitemap unless I manually click "(Re)build XML sitemap."

Given the wording of the mentioned setting, I'm wondering if the plugin only regenerates the sitemap when it detects that a "Post" post type has been published. Is this the case? If so, what does anyone recommend in order to have the sitemap automatically regenerated whenever any type of article is published? Or is there anything else I need to do/consider to get this working? Thanks.

I'm experiencing the same problem on a pages only WP site. I have to manually rebuild the sitemap for changes to show up. The Google XML Sitemaps plugin auto-updates just fine.

Using WP 3.1 and Yoast WordPress SEO 0.2.5 I find it automatically adds both pages and posts to my sitemap.xml virtual file. Further, it updates that file if I change the noindex nofollow radio buttons for my content. However, the sitemap.xml is NOT being updated when I move a page or a post to trash, nor when I empty the trash. Only then do I find I have to rebuild the sitemap.xml "by hand" by clicking the button inside the Yoast admin settings page.
