    Hi!

I am using the latest version ov wordpress and wordpress seo plugin and today I noticed on GWT that my sitemap for categories on a custum post type is getting this error "Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead."

    My /sitemap_index.xml contains:

    /category-sitemap.xml
    /listing-sitemap.xml
    /listing_category-sitemap.xml
    /page-sitemap.xml
    /post-sitemap.xml
    /question-sitemap.xml
    /question_category-sitemap.xml
    /question_tag-sitemap.xml

And they all are working except this (/question_category-sitemap.xml)

When I clicked on the link from GWT (/question_category-sitemap.xml) I was redirect to my home page...

I have followed a small check list to solve this:

1- I did a double check on my re-directions and none seems to be wrong or have to do anything with it.

2- Disabled all plugins one by one and the error persists

    3- Read this treads 1 and 2

and at the end I still remain a bit lost on what do do to solve the problem...

Any ideas on what to do?

    Thanks!

Similar problem with category-sitemap.xml - directs to page on site - Google Webmaster tools reports it contains html code.

WP 3.4.1 Just upgraded Yoast to latest version this morning (from plugin menu)

    Same problem.
http://apporteringtillvardagochfest.se/category-sitemap.xml ends up on a the themes standard "not found"-page

"This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help."

Noticed the same issue here just now. category-sitemap.xml redirect to a random page on the website in question.
