    WordPress 3.3.2 (english for testing)
    Wordpres SEO plugin 1.1.7

    Hello Joost,

The calculated slug when WordPress SEO plugin is installed doesn't replace accentuated characters by unaccentuated character . When I save a post the accentuated character are simply deleted.

I tested this with your plugin just activated and without others plugins

Exemple : é must be replaced by e and it was deleted

I tested too with development version of your plugin and I had the same result.

All works fine when yourplugin isn't activated.

Where will I looking for to correct this ?

    Thanks a lot

    Best Regards
    Emmanuel

    Joost,

    this line in wpseo_remove_stopwords_from_slug function
    $clean_slug = preg_replace ("/[^a-zA-Z0-9 \']/", "", $clean_slug );

seems to delete all specials characters when I save a post.

For the moment, I just comment this line and I works like WP without plugin.

Another question about stopwords, where and how can I translate it to produce a french poedit files ? (All words in wpseo_stopwords function)

    Thanks
    Best Regards
    Emmanuel

Thanks a lot Joost for the speed of your answer and the very useful plugin too.

With the 1.1.9 version it works fine now. You deleted $clean_slug = preg_replace ... line ;-)

For translation of stopwords in french, I subscribe to translate.yoast.com
I didn't see the stopwords string in the po files.

    Best regards
    Emmanuel

No translate.yoast.com needs to be updated.
