[resolved] "No heading tags appear in the copy" despite heading tags (27 posts)

The page analysis of Yoast's WordPress SEO says that "No heading tags appear in the copy" on this page:
    http://www.dutchamsterdam.nl/amsterdam-airport-schiphol

    However,there are eight h2 tags, plus 1 h1 tag.

    What does the alert mean?

The alert is wrong :D Could you share the copy of the body that is causing the error?

    Some questions:

    - What keyword were you using for the first one?
    - Does it say "No heading tags appear in the copy" or "You have not used your keyword / keyphrase in any heading in your copy." ?

First one, keywords: amsterdam, domain name, .amsterdam
    Focus keyword: .amsterdam

    Analysis:
No heading tags appear in the copy.
No images appear in this page, consider adding some as appropriate.

I tried the development version but had to reinstall 1.1.9

    Details in your inbox.

    Thanks!

Ok it should seriously be fixed, I tried the login you gave me and I'm not seeing the error you mentioned when I edit this post about .amsterdam domain names.

Ah! That had me puzzled, because I definitely still do see the error.

Then I figured it out: I have the visual editor disabled. The login I gave you has the visual editor enabled.

Sure enough, when I enabled visual editor (which I never use), the error disappears.

    Give it a try.

Ok, found it I think :) Could you try the development version again?

You can download the development version from here:

Or you can download it directly:

Uploaded the latest development version, cleared the W3 Total Cache cache, but still see the error when the visual editor is disabled.

Joost, the 1.2 update is fantastic! Those score graphics are brilliant and I have already used them to fix several posts.

We've just sent you a small donation via PayPal :)

That said, I still see the error described above when the visual editor is disabled.

That shouldn't be, i've tried to fix it :)

    Indeed, it's fixed!

Turns out I had to clear the cache at MaxCDN (instead of just clearing the W3 Total Cache).

Thanks Joost. This is very helpful plugin, especially with the updated analysis. It will take me some time, but with the help of your plugin I'm going to work through all my old posts to try and improve them.

http://frickinexcuse.net/escort-missions-are-retarded/ This page gets the same warning for me, I look at the pages source and see that there are in fact 3 h2 tags in the source. Visual editor is enabled and I am having a problem with that. I just installed this plugin yesterday and love the majority of it. Just getting errors when the keywords are one letter off like an s at the end. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey Yoast

I tend to have the same problem. But here is the tricky part
If I leave the text as "paragraph" it will take it into consideration, namely, it will say it is ok, BUT, I get this "No subheading tags (like an H2) appear in the copy."

If I add H2 to it, it automatically tells me that the keyword is missing from the first paragraph... "The keyword doesn't appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately."

    So, what should I do?

    Thank you

    Hi there,

Did the 'No images appear in this page, consider adding some as appropriate.' issue get resolved at all?

My pages have images however they use my theme to style them and look like this:
    [image_frame link_to = "false" prettyphoto = "false" style="framed_shadow" height="300" width="600" alt="" title=""]http://www.mydomain.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/image.jpg[/image_frame]

My concern is that I can see in the site maps I am submitting that very few images are showing up.

Is this just one of those things and if in my media library I Title and Alt then they will still show up?

    Many thanks :)
