   For some reason, WP SEO by Yoast isn't passing on to Google the meta description typed into the post's meta description field.

   Instead, Google is displaying (in its description on the search results page) the post lead photo's meta description and the first few words of the body copy in the search results.

   Any ideas how to fix?

   I am having the same problem, for every post I write, I add the meta description through the plugin, it still doesnt show up in source or google
