Is the robots part of SCO supposed to create the robots.txt file? (3 posts)

my installation does not automatically create the robots.txt file. I created one manually, change the perms, so that I could edit it within the plug-in. All that work great except now I've restricted access to WP-content and Google Webmaster tools can get to my XML site map.

I see that version 0.2.1 is supposed to magically make it look like it's in the document root. That's not happening for me and I can't figure out why?

I'm also having trouble locating any information on WP Rewrite.

Other than that it's one fantastic improvement over anything else out there.
    Best Regards

    I Did fine a file rewrite.pnp under /public_html/wp-includes

Apaches mod rewrite rules are working.

I would appear as a good place to put the rewrite rule would be in the .htaccess file?

I will try and let you know.

I've been away from this too long. But enclosed is my htaccess file. in the hopes that someone who knows how this is supposed to work may see something missing.

    # BEGIN WordPress
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]

    # uploaded files
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?files/(.+) wp-includes/ms-files.php?file=$2 [L]

    # add a trailing slash to /wp-admin
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ $1wp-admin/ [R=301,L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^ - [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*) $2 [L]
    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]
    RewriteRule . index.php [L]

    # END WordPress

    redirect 301 http://www.inmrc.com http://inmrc.com
