   WordPress SEO (1.1.5)
   NextGEN Gallery (1.9.2)

   NextGEN Gallery changlelog for v1.8.0 says "NEW : Adding Google Sitemaps for Images (require WordPress SEO plugin by YOAST)".

   Questions:
   1. How does one set this up correctly? Or does it automatically work, no setup necessary?
   2. What does the image sitemap look like when properly set up?

   In my case, I have sitemap_index.xml, which points to page-sitemap.xml, which lists the page on which I have the NextGEN Gallery shortcode. There's a number>0 listed in the Images column. Is that what it's supposed to look like, and that's all?
