    WordPress SEO version: Latest

    Hi there

I am building a site on a client's own server, running Zeus rather than Apache on a Linux box and the "Congratulations... You've just installed WordPress SEO by Yoast..." popup continuously opens on every dashboard page load (despite closing it every time), which, as you can imagine, grows quite tiresome after a while!

Any suggestions on how to solve this issue kindly received. Moving server is unfortunately not an option! I've tried going through the introduction a few times and that doesn't help.

As an aside, the WP SEO icon on the Dashboard sidebar is broken as well, guess that could be another side affect of whatever Zeus-related error is causing this issue.

    Thanks in advance,
    James

James, has this been resolved? I've got the same issue as well.

No, unfortunately not. I'm glad someone else is experiencing the issue though.

Here's hoping Joost de Valk can suggest a fix!

I found this fix. It mentions going into /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-pointers.php and commenting out a few lines of code.

    Result, thanks!

I expect this problem will return and needing patching again once the next update comes and overwrites our hack!

Good stuff. I applied it as well and thankfully the once omnipresence tour box is no more.

Clicking "close" should normally fix the issue, if it doesn't, another plugin is throwing an error in javascript causing the needed AJAX call to fail...

I've got no other plugins running. Gotta be Zeus related, surely?

Its broken most plugins I've tried using so figured its that.

Zeus is your theme I gather? Yeah that could be it.

No, the site is hosted on a Linux server thats running Zeus rather than Apache (See original post).

Ah, well in that case, if that's causing AJAX not to work, you're in tough luck for a LOT of stuff.

    Ah, thanks for the confirmation.

Not happy! Client insisting we use their rubbish server.
