I just updated the WP SEO plugin successfully and then received a prompt asking to collect stats on the site to enable better SEO. I clicked Allow and now am locked out of my site with a 505 server error.

Similar problem, except that I can log in, but all admin screens are then white. Had to have my host rename the plugin file so it didn't load, and now I can get in.

Is there a way to comment out the bad lines and then I could still use the plugin? And that way, I'd still have all my data when a revised version is released (without this bug) and I install it?

I've got exactly same problem with WP 3.3.0 and last plugin version (1.2.6). What we can do?

Ok this is how i managed to resolve it..

i renamed yoast/seo plugin folder via FTP which then deactivates the plugin, and we can get back into the dashboard *yay!*

and then i updated my WordPress to the the newest one WP 3.4.1
after i went back and renamed the yoast/plugin folder back to its original name via FTP

then back into dashboard plugin section and activated the plug in.

So far all seems good/ok :)
