[Plugin: WordPress Related Posts] Broken in WP 3.5 beta 2

I have been using this plugin for a long time to provide related songs by artist using tags in my posts. I have it also set up to exclude all categories but my music category.

I have been beta testing WP 3.5 and noticed that the plugin no longer finds related tags and generates a list based on a specific tag. Instead, it generates completely unrelated posts from all categories and tags.

For example, if I post the song Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons I should only expect to see related posts listing all of the songs by Mumford & Sons.
