Hi! First up, this plugin is great, thank you!

However when a gift certificate email is received, it is appear in my inbox from “WordPress” – the correct email address (from settings) is assigned to it.

Is there a way I can change this default name to say the ‘Company Name’ as listed in the plugin settings? or just hard code a different name into wpgft–loader.php?

    Thanks again!

  • Hi there,
I can’t seem to get this plugin to work. I am acutally testing with a live Paypal account. When a gift certificate is purchased, it doesn’t get recorded in the backend and I don’t receive an email with the printable gift certificate. How did you get it to work? Thanks for your help in advance.

jwong73 I am having the same issue. Does anyone know if there is a specific way to setup paypal or does the plugin do everything.

    Hi all.
I was wrestling with this plugin for a couple weeks and just got it working the other day. Here is what you need to do to set it up with a live account.

Change the PayPal url in your settings to:

    https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr”

Go into your paypal profile and enable IPN, and point it to “http://[YOURDOMAIN.com]/wp-content/plugins/wp-gift-cert/wpgft_ipnHandler.php”

After that, it should work like a charm. Good luck!

i got everything working but Im struggling to figure out how someone is supposed to redeem this thing. Anyone have any ideas? Its not exactly connected to paypal as far as paypal gift certificates. If anyone could help here that would be great.

Are you only able to use Paypal with this Plugin?

We have the plugin installed but how do customers use this at check out?? Do I need to enable something?? Any info is much appreciated!

    Kind Regards!

It’s fine but next time try putting the problem in plugins what is your website adress and is it configured correctly

Guys I’m having trouble getting the IPN to work. The transaction goes through but no IPN is received by the plugin so the gift cert is not delivered. I have tried different combinations: wordpress install root and also pointing to wpgft_ipnHandler.php but no success

    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

I get a, “login to your paypal to use your sandbox” page.

It would be great to have more documentation on this.

having the same issue as paulopinto, exactly…

    running wordpress 3.3.1
