    Wondering, anyone having this issue that its entering an extra p tag for the contents?
    Ironically I have to wrap the [tab] shortcode with p tags to remove it.
    <p>[tab name="name"]</p>
    <p>[/tab]</p>
    <p>[end_tabset]</p>

    Had the same issue. Thanks for posting the work around.

    Interestingly this was posted as a fix the last update although that was in 2011. I'm sure a lot has changed since then.

    Version 1.3.1 (08/02/2011)

    Fix - For some installations, tabs were not working in case the Post/Page ID was changed in footer due to custom WP Query. Fixed this issue, so that the tabs JS will pick correct tab ID in all cases.
    Fix - Tabs were trimmed off in RSS feed in case full post text is chosen to be displayed in the RSS feeds. Corrected the issue. Thanks Michael who brought it forward.
    Fix - An extra space used to appear before the content in the tab in some cases due to empty p tags (WordPress autop formatter). Fixed this issue.

    There is an easier work-around, make sure the ending [/tab] and the start of the next [tab] have no space.

    So it should be :

    [tab name="name"]
    some content with breaks is ok

    as lonjg as the [tab] brackets have none
    [/tab][tab name="two"]
    more content
    [/tab][end_tabset]

    remove_filter( 'the_content', 'wpautop' );
    add_filter( 'the_content', 'wpautop' , 12);

    why first removing the wpautop filter, and then readd it? does the priority number matter?

    Inserting the tabs using QuickTag button is the best way to get tabs and tab content without any extra <p> tags or </br> tags. Use QuickTag button to insert the tabs.

    Anyway, thanks for sharing the workaround and fixes.
