Since its a portfolio, I always want my newest design to show first. So why not have an easy option so sort by id? Descending order isnt to useful when its alphabetical. =P

It's on my to do list.

However, the last 10 comments/emails I've received about wp-portfolio have been ordering me what to do. None of them have said thanks... so not in a rush to add features.

Hey, i said thanks a year or so ago when i first started using it. =P

But really, thanks again for the work on it. Would love it if you added the above feature as its pretty easy to add (at least it is in the source), but then my changes of course get overwritten with every upgrade.

A new version has just been uploaded that provides the date ordering feature.

    Hi,
I'm working on a project and I'm glad I have found this plugin. I have to show a list of entries ordered by date, but the "Date Added" field is "Thu 1st Jan 1970 at 00:00" for all my sites, and therefore the date ordering is not working: [wp-portfolio ordertype="dateadded" orderby="desc" ]
What may be the problem ?

    Thank you,
    George

This is a known issue, and due to be fixed in the next release.

An issue has already been raised on this.

This is fixed in 1.17, which I have just uploaded. Should appear on WordPress.org very shortly.

    Hi,
I have just upgraded the plugin, but there are still some issues:
"Date Added" for all the sites added before the upgrade became "Mon 18th Oct 2010 at 18:21" (date of the upgrade) and therefore it is still not possible to sort those sites. I have no time to re-add them :(
Will there be a way to modify the date added in the next release ? Could this be modified directly somewhere in the database tables ?

After upgrading, when I have added a new site, the time in the "wp-portfolio Summary" has appeared "16:12" but the real time was "22:12". I have checked, and the time zone is correctly set in the wordpress.

    Hi,
    I have another problem !
Why is paging feature not working ?

    Here is the site:
    http://terradesign.ro/?page_id=181

    Thank you,
    George

The problem is on this line in wp-portfolio.php:
    $paginghtml .= sprintf('&nbsp;<span class="page-jump"><a href="?page_id=181&portfolio-page=%s"><b>%s</b></a></span>&nbsp;', $i, $i);
Here I have manually added page_id=181& to get the pagination work. But the page ID in the pagination links must be automatically obtained.

Apologies for the delay, I've been on holiday. Thanks for the bug report. I'll check it out.

Regarding the date issue, the plugin is currently working as designed. For all dates that were null, they default to when the plugin was upgraded to 1.17+.

I've made a note to add the modify the date feature, as I suspect others are hitting the same issue. Although generally, I do charge for adding extra features quickly.

    So there's good news !
Another useful think will be if there were a way to exclude some groups from being displayed:
    Ex: [wp-portfolio exclude="1,7,9"]

You have an inclusive feature already. There's no plan to add an exclusion feature.

Have you given WP Portfolio a positive rating? Have you made a donation too? I just ask, as you're requesting a lot of features, and it's only fair to give back too.

    Thanks
    Dan
