WordPress Portfolio Plugin (WP Portfolio)
[resolved] Don't have Advanced Features link (10 posts)

I have WordPress 3.3.1 and WP Portfolio 1.21 installed. I would rather not deal with STW, so I'd like to add my own custom thumbnails. But I don't have the Advanced Features button on my Edit or Add Portfolio pages! I do see an empty Custom Info column on the WP Portfolio page, but cannot figure out why I can't get to the area to add the custom info.

    Help!

    Hi Peggy

You need to click on the 'Show Advanced Settings' on the page where you add a new website. Then you need to put the URL of your image into the 'Custom Thumbnail URL' field.

    It's there, honest! :)

    Hmm, thanks Peggy.

It should be on this page:

Could you try using Chrome or Firefox, assuming you're using IE? If that doesn't work, could you send me an email with admin login details (via http://www.wpdoctors.co.uk), and I'll take a look...

    Kind Regards
    Dan

    Dan,
The screenshots I posted are using Chrome. Would any self-respecting web designer be using IE - except to check that client sites work properly? :-)

I've submitted a contact form at your site with login info for my site.

    Thanks,
    Peggy

    Hi Peggy

Found it! It's a CSS conflict with this plugin: Authority Pro Squeeze Generator

The advanced section in WP Portfolio has a class of .hide, which is defined as completely hidden in the CSS for the above plugin. In WP Portfolio, it's only hiding the content below the advanced section. Frankly, it's a silly issue with naming conventions, but I'll update WP Portfolio accordingly, as conflicts with other plugins are possible. It's just a freaky 1 in 1000 issue.

There'll be a release later in a little while that fixes the issue you're having.

    Kind Regards
    Dan

Plugin updated, should be appearing within WordPress as an update in an hour or so.

    Dan,
It works great now! Thanks a lot.

Now I just have a whole bunch of site images to capture. Oh, well. I still think it's easier than dealing with STW.
