   I think popular posts really needs an update. I have installed a few mods over the last couple days, and have lost my popular data a few times now, this mod is very unstable, and seems go to "no data" quite offen...

   any chances for an update?

   Hello dscurlock,

   I've also tried everything I could, but with no results. I think we're on the same sinking boat. The guy who made this plugin seems to have disappeared. I'm afraid there will be no updates.

   I even thought it was a problem with my host, but the plugin doesn't even work on my apache server. So I'm looking for another plugin but none pleases me yet.

   For the moment it is working, now I am having to deal with
   another mod that was working fine last night, and it is not
   working today, but if popular decides to give me attitude again, then I just may uninstall and delete it...

   I am surprised something like this is not built into WP.
   posts are sorta useless and they get less seen once they
   fall into the deepness of your site. We need something
   that is stable and can let everyone else know this post
   is popular, because people read posts that are popular.

   I would like to see a post bumping mod, just like you see
   on forums, when someone makes a comment on lets say a popular
   post, then the post is bumped back up to the top, this
   should keep popular posts at the top so they will not
   be forgotten in such a small amount of time, because once
   a post leaves the home page, then it is almost forgotten.

   Has anyone found an alternative plug-in that does a similar job?

   I've deleted the WPP and replaced it by the "top ten" plugin.

   Maybe it's not the best one, but il seems to be quite stable. That's all I need.

   You'd better try more than one and see the one that fits the best your need.

   Some others are good but I don't want to spend hours on it.
