    Currently, WordPress Popular Posts won't use the first image attached to the post to generate the thumbnail. You need to select a Featured Image in order to get it working.

    Next version of WPP will automatically set a Featured Image for you using the first image attached on your posts, but only if you haven't selected one.

    UPDATE: actually, just pushed an update. WordPress Popular Posts v2.2.0 should be available within the next minutes for download!

    Hello Héctor.

    In my new blog your plugin keeps saying: Sorry. No data so far.
    I installed a couple of days ago, I have the wp_head() in header.php and it seems not to work.

    I think it has something to do with the theme because with another theme in anohter different blog of mine your plugin works just fine.

    Can you give a hand on this? blog.corpodesonho.com
    Regards;)

    hi Héctor Cabrera, after updating plugin to the latest version. The all-time section keep on saying "Sorry. No data so far." Could you please tell me why?

    @fabryshock Sorry for leeching off you post.

    Hello Hector, I can't find a place to contact you directly, but I was wondering if you could do some custom work for us, just wondering if making the thumbs show with rounded edges instead of squares is do-able.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi guys,

    The plugin was just updated to version 2.2.1. Please upgrade as soon as possible!

    @Desz You could always use some css3 in your stylesheet for that:

    .wpp-thumbnail {
    border-radius: 5px;
    -moz-border-radius: 5px;
    -webkit-border-radius: 5px;
    }

    @Hector

    I'm getting some random values for height and width in the HTML output:

    <img width="50" height="50" title="Some title" alt="Some alternative text" class="wpp-thumbnail wp-post-image" src="link-to-image-url">

    No idea where this 50px height and width are coming from - my theme uses 65px x 50px and that's what the thumbnail size is in the widget, but even if I put 100px x 50px, it's still outputted as 50x50px.

    I notice an 'empty cache' button in settings, but will this delete all popular data or simply just regenerate the thumbnails?

    Thanks,

    Phil

    @Hector, I have done all the updates, and still have no images on my most popular posts. I tried the featured image, but didn't seem to work with my theme?

    I had images for my popular posts until recent updates, am I the only one still having a thumbnail problem?

    Thanks Hector!

    @PSM Digital: I've noticed that once, too. Problem is it has never happened again so I'm not sure what is causing that. Currently, I'm running different tests, hopefully I'll figure it out soon.

    @styles1228: The current version of my plugin will try to find and use the Featured Image selected by you. If not found, it should pick up the first image attached to your post and convert it into a Featured Image. If everything fails, then the default thumbnail is displayed.

    Have you enabled the Post Thumbnail feature on your theme?

    @Hector, when I used the code provided here - http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails, and added it to my site code, it didn't really do anything at all.

    Either that, or I am that bad at understanding this.

    After enabling the Post Thumbnail feature on your theme, you should be able to see a "Featured Image" box on the Edit Post and Edit Page screens. If so, then you should be able to set a Featured Image (or let my plugin create it for you if you have inserted an image on your post using the Media Manager as explained here).

    @Hector for some reason, after I install that line of code, I don't get that option in my drop down menu. Is there any other way to get the images to appear in my popular posts?

    Also, I run WP Super Cache, and my host said that in the popular posts, the popularpostsdatacache is actually causing a conflict with Super Cache, starting on Nov 25th, is there a way I can resolve that, or is that maybe just a local issue on my part?

    Thanks Hector!

    Sorry, no, there is no other way to get the images other than using the Post Thumbnail feature (at least for now). Maybe I can help you check your theme's come, if you want to. Where can I download it?

    About WP Super Cache conflicting with my plugin, did they give you any details on that? What kind of conflicts are we talking about?
