[Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Category Link

Does anyone know how to add a Category Link to the list of posts? I’m inserting the tags directly into the body of my template, but I can’t seem to get it to display the category or categories of the post.

I’ve tried “the_category”, but it doesn’t seem to want to display correctly in the right spot. I’ve also tried the “category_link”, but it only displays “Object” as the category.
