  • Is there a reason you need to keep it active? Its just informational and most of it will rarely change.

In fact there is no reason to keep it active. You are right. I just wanted the author to know it.

Hey Prause, I’m not sure I understand the original issue. Could you help me out by explaining it again or give me an example of a plugin that does allow this? Chris

The issue occurs on menu administration panel which is described here.
When wordpress_phpinfo is activated, then the action described as

Once an item is added to a menu, those menu items can be rearranged. Placing the mouse cursor over the menu item title, when the mouse cursor changes to 4-arrows, hold the left-mouse button down, drag the module to where you want to place it, then release the mouse button (this is called drag-and-drop). Remember you can drag a menu item slightly to the right of the menu item above it to create a hierarchy (parent/child) relationship in the menu.

    does not work.

Prause, the Codex article you linked to refers to the WP site menu structure for the front end of the website, not the admin menu.

Are you suggesting that the phpinfo() menu item in the WP Admin menu structure should allow users to drag and drop it to another area of the menu, or that when added to the front menu of a website using the Appearances > Menu panel the menu item is not allowing you to drag and drop?

Christopher, the link I put above shows where in WP administration the issue happens. On the second screenshot on its right side you can see a few menu items. As to the quote above you can drag-and-drop the menu items and so rearrange the menu.
What I am saying is that when wordpress_phpinfo plugin is activated then this dragging is not possible.
That’s all. Sorry I can’t explain it in better way.
    Cheers.

Hi Prause, sorry for the delay.

I’ve updated the plugin this evening and believe that it’s fixed up.
