Rel Canonical on primary domain (6 posts)

    Hello,

I'm using Domain Mapping with WordPress network for all my websites.

I've realize that on the head of all my pages I've a meta rel="canonical", wich I suppose is added by WordPress.

The problem : on this marker, it's the network url that is print, not the primary domain of the website.

Do you have any solution ?

    Thanks

Do you have the primary redirect disabled?

    Hi Ron,

The "permanent redirect" option is enabled.

    Thanks

Do you have the "disabled primary domain check" unchecked?

I've only these option checked :
    - Permanent redirect
    - User domain mapping page

The other options "Remote login", "Redirect admin pages" and "Disable primary domain check" are unchecked.

    Thanks

Are you running a SEO plugin?

When my "Disable primary domain check" is unchecked, the canonical link is the mapped domain. When it's checked it's the unmapped original URL.
