   i'm experimenting a problem when activating WPML:
   the permalink structure rolls back to the subdomain address instead of the proper mapped domain

   maybe, being a paid plugin, it's not appropriate to discuss the issue here...
   so i'll try to be as discrete as i can...

   but what's being said by the support is that "there are many mapping plugins around, and we would like to get in touch with the plugin authors"
   ...maybe this is a funny case where two grand plugins author's don't know each other :)

   i'm not aware of those many mapping plugins and thought yours was the plugin,
   and not sure if would be wise to swap this kind of plugin in a live environment...

   any inputs would be greatly appreciated

   There are 17K+ plugins in the wp.org repo plus probably a couple thousand hosted elsewhere on the Internet. I do know quite a few plugin authors who collectively might add up to 1K of the 17K plugins.

   In the case of WPML, I don't know who the main authors are & I've never done any work with the plugin.

   Domain mapping filters the URLs that WP core and most plugins use. I'm not sure why WPML isn't using the core WP functions for the site URLs.

   sorry, Ron, i was just surprised, being wpml such a mainstream plugin and yours being almost a core plugin, that there was a conflict...

   what would be the best venue for them to consult you about the issue?

   or this piece of info is enough to track the bug down?

   I wasn't offended so no apology necessary :)

   Neither of the plugins are particularly mainstream. If WPML has 100K installs, that's about 0.3% of WP installs. (I couldn't find a stat on a quick search so I estimated a generous number). Similarly, if DM has 15K installs, that's 0.05%. The longtail distribution of people wanting to use both would be 0.00015% of WP installs (between 50 & 75).
