Support » Plugin: WordPress MU Domain Mapping » [Plugin: WordPress MU Domain Mapping] "Domain mapping database table created." message on

  • Im running WordPress on Windows Server 2008 R2 Web with SQL Server.

I have gotten network activated successfully and have enabled the MU domain mapping plugin in order to point a domain to each of the country-specific sites I am looking to create.

I have had a few issues since doing this though:

    1. “Domain mapping database table created.” is shown on every page in every single little box (ie. Dashboard shows that message 5 times). I have tried refreshing and logging out/in and it is still there.

    2. When I go to ‘Network Admin’, it now says I have only 1 site, when I have actually set up 5.

Does anyone know what could be going on? Can I use this with IIS?

  • Before you set up domain mapping, did all the sub sites work?

Just enabling the plugin shouldn’t really do much. Did you install it according to the instructions?

    Yeah they did.

Well if you think there’s no logical reason for it – i’ll go back to basics and try again!

If you are getting that message more than once then the table isn’t being created. You have to sort that issue out first. That might also explain why you can’t see the sites you created.

I have the plugin installed correctly (sunrise file in right place, called out in wp-config and the domain_mapping table was created in my db) and I’m not getting any error messages. However,

    1) I don’t see the table from the super admin side and can’t map a domain. When I put in the info, nothing happens.
    2) Even though I have it set for users to be able to map their domain, I don’t see the Domain Mapping option under Tools when I’m on a site specific dashboard.

    Thoughts?

The super admin screen is under tools in the network admin.
