I’ve succeeded in installing WordPress 3.3.1, multisite support.

I /think/ I have successfully installed the latest version of the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin (0.5.4.2), which is identical to the currently available development version.

I have my default blog at example.com, and another one that’s currently at test.example.com, that I want to map to example2.com.

However, the Domain Mapping page (wp-admin/network/settings.php?page=dm_domains_admin) doesn’t show any of my extant sites, and when I try to add them, the page doesn’t change.

I’ve checked several apparently relevant posts on this forum (which is how I knew about the dev version of the domain mapping plugin), and I’ve even crawled up into my MySQL database and verified that yes, the wp_domain_mapping and wp_domain_mapping_logins are valid tables in the wordpress database.

    What am I missing here?

    Thanks in advance!

Please don’t post multiple times (I deleted your post in the other thread – we like having separate posts – it makes it easier to help people).

    How are you mapping it?

Are you going to the site you actually want to map to a new domain, then go to Tools->Domain Mapping.

Apologies for the double-post–I’d dipped into the forum several times and thought I’d caught all the problems that were sort of like mine and tested all their solutions before I wrote mine.

Then I found that other one–didn’t know if I’d get your attention otherwise, so I hitched a ride. Again, sorry about that.

Anyway, I had been adding sites from the primary/central/master/?? site of my network, and trying to map them from the same place. When I logged out of the primary site and into the secondary/satellite/?? site, then I could do the mapping–which would make a bit of sense had the satellite blog been hosted elsewhere, but as I, with my network superadmin privileges, didn’t need to relog to the other site for anything else but did have to for this, it didn’t occur to me.

Thank you for that advice, because now it works! How do we get the developer to spell that out more clearly in the plugin documentation and save you some work?

They did. I went and read the doc, and looked at the linked to doc on Otto’s site, and copied, word for word, where to go 🙂
