WordPress HTTPS (SSL)
[resolved] Forced SSL not working (7 posts)

    Hi!

I am trying to use this plugin for securing my FB pages (forced SSL on those few), but I always get warning that my site's base url is not secured.

Admin panel works fine with SSL, though.

Also, when I click the link Force SSL in HTTPS plugin's options under Force SSL exclusively I get loading bar and nothing happens or shows up.

Can you help, please, it's kind of urgent.

    Hey Kteis,

Could you post some links to the pages you're having trouble with?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I am using some plugin for checking the elements.

My Force SSL checkbox is on.

Thanks for fast reacting, FB threatens to shut down unsecured pages after Friday.

    Hey Kteis,

So if I understand correctly, you're wanting the page to redirect to https://www.facebook.com/KteisKteis?sk=app_202715509770748, correct?

What is causing the page to redirect to facebook? A plugin?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Yes, Fanpage Connect plugin.
I guess it should be doing that.
So, better of ask them, huh?
    :)
    I'm so lost on this.

    Hey Kteis,

Yes, you should probably ask them. It seems like they would have an option somewhere to redirect to the secure URL. It seems like the redirect that they are doing occurs before the redirect that WordPress HTTPS does. Even if WordPress HTTPS was allowed to do its redirect first, the redirect by Fanpage Connect would probably still redirect to the regular HTTP page.

    Thanks,
    Mike
