WordPress Flash Uploader
[resolved] 2.16 makes home page blank (24 posts)

I did a auto update of this plugin and the site when blank. It took some time to go and turn off all plugins and narrow it down to this one being the problem. 2.1.5 worked fine.

I reinstalled Version 2.15.5 and everything is working again. I am using the genesis 1.8 framework.

Which WordPress version do you use?
And where is the uploader displayed?

Please give me as much information as possible.

I just tested with a fresh wordpress 3.3.1 installation and the version 2.16 from the download.

Have you tried without the genesis framework?

And with a reinstall of 2.16? Maybe some files where not copied properly.

I just tried with a default installation of genisis 1.8 as well and had no problems.

I will have to work through all the plugins online to see what is broken. Please mark resolved. Right now I dont have the time to see what no longer works on the new version, it works on other sites, but I can not take the client site down to solve the problem at this time. The older version will work for now.

Can you only give me the wordpress version and where exactly was the blank screen? Where you using WFU in the site?

    I had this too.
I'm V3.3.1 WP and was on WPFU 2.15.5

Updated a bunch of plugins and it killed my homepage in the same way (blank). Renamed the plugin folder and it came back to life.

Re-uploaded v2.15.5 (yay for backups) and it all runs normally again.

Is there a debugging/logging tool available?
I'm happy to re-do the update to break my site then send the log to you.

Do you have access to your server log?

This seems like a fatal error that should be reported there.
    On apache this is error.log

Maybe on the server that have the problems is a basedir restriction which does not allow to include files from upper folders.

If you have a test install on this server it would be great to be able to debug there. And a phpinfo to see which settings are enabled on your server.

You can also contact me on the directly in the TinyWebGallery forum. There you can also send me a pm.

What can also be helpful is to set Display Errors to on. But I don't know if you can do this.

Some server s allow to do this with e.g. a .htaccess file.

Sent via PM on the TFU forum

FYI - The display on error was set to on, although the screen was blank.
Have now set it to off :)

After the update, it was ok until I cleared the WPMinifi Cache and WP Supercache - then it failed to display pages.

    I hope that's useful?

Can you please tell me the link to WPMinifi.
When I search for it I don't get a unique hit.

    Thanks.

It seems to be super cache that causes the problem. I'll try to find out why...

I am running w3 total cache 0.9.2.4 under the genesis framework and have not been able also to still use the software due to blank pages.

I'm checking the problem right now. I assume that methods do overwrite somehow but I don't get a good error messages yet.

When I enable wordpress debugging I get errors from super cache so I cannot use this.
I'll try with w3 total cache 0.9.2.4. Maybe there I get a better message.

Can you please test version 2.16.1.

I include tfu_helper.php since version 2.16 and there I do some global things which seems to cause trouble with cache settings. I extracted the function I use from there and now it seems to work for me with both cache plugins. So far I could not reproduce the problem.

    Can someone please verify this?

Great. Can you then vote on the plugin site that it works again in version 2.16.1.

    Thanks,

check especially the advanced settings if you need this. Since 2.16 it is possible to configure different settings for different users and groups as well with custom configuration files.

If the description in the advanced section is not clear please let me know to improve it.

@callumw: Does this work for you now as well?
