   Is there a way to hide the search box on the downloads page. I already have the pop_count set to 0.

   I ended up just adding category titles manually, then underneath each one using the relevant category shortcode [downloads query="limit=20&category=1"]. I also setup a 2 column layout for the info to sit in. This site is not live yet but you can see what I did at http://www.wordpresswebsites.co.nz/temania/trade/

   what worked for me is setting that div to {display:none}
