Conflict between WP E-Commerce and the WP Download Monitor (1 post)

Okay I figured out what I think is going on. There is some sort of conflict between this plugin and the WP E-Commerce by Instinct with regards to the WP E-Commerce product groups.
    .
Somehow the downloads page I have for the WP Download Monitor is grabbing the WP E-Commerce group names and displaying them as the page title for my download categories.
    .
    Here's an example:
    .
    http://overthehillweb.com/free-downloads/?category=1
(note the page title is “Example Category”)
    .
    http://overthehillweb.com/free-downloads/?category=2
(note the page title is “Example Brand”)
    .
Not sure what is causing this, but as a workaround, I logged into my DB using MyPHP Admin. I then updated all the category IDs in the wp_download_monitor_taxonomies table for ALL of my download monitor categories so that they were not the same as the category IDs of the WP E-Commerce wp_wpsc_categorisation_groups table.
    .
This stopped the errant page titles (for LEGITIMATE download categories), and the WP Download Monitor appears to still be working.. I am still testing the WP E-Commerce plugin to see if this has an undesired effect on the way this plugin works (so far so good)..
    .
I use both plugins because I want to offer a number of free as well as paid download options, and I need BOTH the WP Downloads Monitor and WP E-Commerce to offer both. WP E-Commerce offers NO options for free downloads, and WP Downloads Monitor doesn't offer an option to monetize downloads..
    .
Hope this is useful for someone else in a similar situation.. If there is a BETTER approach to resolve this issue, I'd love to hear it.. :)
