The settings were wiped because the new algorithm needs a fresh start.
The exclude widget now uses AJAX to push the changes to the server, so when you click an individual box it may take a small amont of time for the changes to be reflected.

Thanks Michael, but it’s not working for me. I click ‘toggle all’ and nothing happens–I waited 60 seconds. When I click a directory, nothing happens (to the checkbox) and I’m instantly ‘jumped up’ to the top of the screen, ending up with a view as if I’d just re-chosen Backup Settings.
Shall I delete and re-install?
Thanks.
If I “toggle all” it check on or off only randomly and never all to me with firefox 12.
There is no need to delete and re-install.
The reason you are being jumped up is because the AJAX request is timing out. It appears that I have under estimated the latency here.
Does checking just one file or dir work?

Hi Michael,
Based on the comment from matteoraggi, I tried making the settings in Safari 5.1.5. It works. I’d been using Firefox 12.0 when making my earlier comments.
To answer your question, when using Firefox 12.0, I did not try checking one file, but checking just one directory did not work.
Thanks for your attention.
