   This is exactly the plugin I've been looking for. Unfortunately only the text in the titles are being replaced.

   I have the correct boxes checked, any suggestion as to how to troubleshoot this? thank you.

   The word being replaced is "Carbondale" you can see it replaced in the headline only.

   It appears it has to do with the way FeedWordPress creates my posts as 'syndication'

   hello, sorry for late reply.
   have you checked insensitive? that make the plugin ignores capitalization.
