Support » Plugins » Plugin: WooCommerce update not working

  • I just saw a WooCommerce plugin update and clicked on the update button.
After installation message displayed was: WP Menu Cart Pro could not detect an active shop plugin. Make sure you have activated at least one of the supported plugins.
Also noticed that Woocommerce icon on left of Dashboard is missing.
All pages of my website load up except Shop page. Home page is loaded instead. Obviously since Woocommerce is messed up.
Please help ASAP since my business is down. http://www.shellacfinishes.com
    Thanks

  • Hi there!

Sounds like this is an issue with WooCommerce itself, not the menu cart plugin. Not sure how much help I’ll be, but I can try to give you some advice if you send an email to support@wpovernight.com.

If you want the speediest, most efficient help I’d recommend posting this issue to http://codeable.io. They’re going to need administration access and probably FTP access to help you fix it.

One more quick thing. Check and make sure the WooCommerce plugin is activated. If I had to guess, I’d say that’s probably the issue. If so it’s a quick fix. 🙂

Just updated a client site to new WP version, and also updated Woo Commerce. Now my product page is formatted horribly. (yes, i backed up site first, although that was a nightmare that took a week – Backup Buddy and Duplicator Clone could not properly back up the site – kept timing out) Finally did it manually with help from host.

Anyway, here’s the bad product page:

    http://cedarrustics.com/product-category/rustic-signs/

The background color has changed, the product images are larger, the widgets are floating in space.

all the other pages seem ok. What happened?

I’ve also been trying to trouble shoot UPS shipping extension errors. I have a document with four different error codes that i can share if anybody wants to have a look. It’s not on UPS’ side.

In desperate need of help. Site needs to launch and i have three issues i can’t get around. Please and thank you.

    Hi Jeremiah,
WooCommerce plugin does not exist in Dasboard > Plugins. No way to activate it. Is there another way to activate it?

If it doesn’t exist then it has been deleted. Go to Plugins->Add New and search for WooCommerce. Then install it and make sure you click the activate link once it’s installed. 🙂

Looks like your site is back up and running. Can you confirm?

    Hi Jeremiah,
I don’t believe in Black Magic but it seems that it did happen….
I logged out of Dashboard, logged in and Wah laH, there was the de-avtivated plugin. Activated it and now all items under WooCommerce are working.
HOWEVER, my website Shop page does not show any products. It loads the home page when I click on Shop
    Any clues??
    Thanks for your help.

Works for me! Might just be caching. Try closing all tabs of your site and re-opening. And you’re very welcome. 🙂 Also, I saw you’re promoting bulk sales, so I may as well let you know about one of my plugins that adds a bulk order form for WooCommerce just in case you want to give it a try:) http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-bulk-order-form/

HOWEVER, my website Shop page does not show any products. It loads the home page when I click on Shop. I see Shop as a page in the dashboard and is configured correctly. When I type http://www.shellacfinishes.com/shop/, it defaults to http://www.shellacfinishes.com. It looks as if the page does not even exist.
    Any clues??
    Thanks for your help.

You’re welcome. I see your shop page just fine when I go there, including the tabs at the top and the products beneath. Try visiting in a different browser. If you’re logged in, try logging out. I really think it’s just a caching issue from when WooCommerce was deactivated. I have to go for a few hours but I’ll check in soon.

    You are correct.
Thank you so very much for your help and patience. It is truly appreciated.

You’re very welcome, glad to help. I got an alert since our Menu Cart plugin was tagged and thought I would help. 🙂 Take care and let us know if you need anything!
