How to apply new Attribute "Terms" to existing (3 posts)

Is it possible to automatically apply new Terms to existing product attributes?

For example, let's say I have 100 different t-shirt products, each with a unique graphic, but each one is setup as variable with a "Color" attribute with "Black" and "White" as unique terms. 3 months down the road, I want to add "Red" as a new color to those existing products. Is there an easy way to do this without having to open each product and manually clicking "Select all" on the "Color" attribute, clicking the Update button, then opening the other 99 remaining products to manually update the Terms (Values) box?

I have the same problem, have added three new options for packaging sizes and dread having to do each product by hand. Anyone???

there is no way to bulk add attribute terms through the interface.
I've been in a similar position myself.

You could do this through mysql, but i'm not sure it would qualify as "easy". Faster? yes, easier? not so much.

perhaps I should write a plugin/extension to do this...
