404 error when clicking on pagination links (11 posts)

    at http://www.the1darkside.com

If I search on "glass", the results page offers the queried results and additional pages via pagination (1,2...NEXT) at the bottom of the page. My trouble is I get a 404 error if I search "clear glass" and then click next or page #2 etc... The "space" between the term "clear" and "glass" is removed, as displayed is the search form, upon clicking additional pages.

Pagination performs if I use only "glass" in my search.

If i put a "-" dash between "clear" and "glass", pagination works.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Trying to understand.

Yeah it seems the pagination is dropping of the + (space) on the second page thus dropping you to 404...Wondering if this is a bug..

By default I think WooCommerce does not come with numerated pagination if I recall correctly. So that would mean your theme is providing this function? If so, it is best to check with your theme developer.

Anybody out there that can kindly point me in the direction of where the "+" value in the URL is being dropped? I have contacted the theme developer, but haven't heard anything back yet. That was on Friday night...so they had a weekend.

Any response? And is it a Wootheme's theme too by any chance?

I've come across the same issue with a wootheme's theme running woocommerce today - http://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-results-page-pagination-leading-to-404-error?replies=10

I too have raised a support ticket so am waiting on their response. Least I'm not alone!

    Hey meadows.pete-

I was told by the folks at Woothemes there is a framework update coming by the end of this month that should fix the trouble. And yes... the theme I'm using is Argentum, a wootheme. I'm waiting...

bethefly - Thanks for taking the time out to follow up, much appreciated! It seems like they are aware of the problem so like you, I look forward to a fix in the coming days! If and when they come back to me I'll confirm here anyway, just in case there's an update. Thanks again, Pete

Wootheme's support told me there would be a fix by the end of October but we're now on Nov 5th and nothing is available yet. I'll update here when I hear more... I've asked their support for an update.

I used this to override woo_pagination() per the folks at Woothemes.

Paste the code into the designated area of your functions.php file

This solved my trouble. Once the framework update is available, remove this code after updating framework.

Woothemes emailed me just after I posted here to say that the new Framework is now out! It was released this afternoon.

I've installed it on my client's website and pagination is now working again so am pleased to report that it seems to sort the problem out.

All is well that ends well :)
