[resolved] [Plugin: WooCommerce - eCommerce plugin for WordPress] WooCommerce/Wootique Issues Galore (4 posts)

I'm using the latest versions of both the theme and plugin (as of 23 OCT) but there are little weird issues here and there, really strange -- and the worst part of it all is, there's no access to the WooThemes support forums, not even for the free themes, so it's not clear whether these issues are something to do with WooThemes' own proprietary framework and its settings or maybe some other WordPress platform issue....

For example, child pages do not work right with WP Menus in Wootique (and some other free WooThemes themes, but do work as they should with other free WooThemes themes), being displayed as separate main menu items instead of being displayed as drop-down/fly-out sub-menu items....

Menus should work just like any other theme - see my setup:

As you can see there are no problems with dropdown menus for child items so I'm not sure what your doing differently.

    Hi, Mike,

I know that, based on your demo page at <http://demo.woothemes.com/?name=wootique>, child menus should work just fine. But AFAIK, my Bluehost SimpleScripts WordPress installation is clean and yet WP Menus simply does not work in Wootique. I've had to go into the code and hard-code what would have been my primary navigational menu.

Now I do realize that y'all are hard at work on things, as since three weeks ago I've gone through at least two updates of WooCommerce and one of Wootique, so please excuse me if I sound harsh in my observations!

Just an update, for the record, as an FYI to any passers-by in future: Through conversations on GitHub where the WooCommerce team is actively pursuing bugs and other issues, it's become more and more apparent that the child pages issue I described isn't anything specific to WooCommerce. It's really a case of WP Menus not working in certain themes for whatever reason!
