And last, but by no means least, we've released a version of our absolutely rocking WordPress wiki plugin for free, here on wordpress.org.

You can grab it here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-wiki-plugin/

Let us know how you'd like to see the plugin improved - and also any bugs, or misc feedback you;d like to share.

    Cheers, James

So many awesome free plugins - you guys have some great developers...

And a really incredible documentation team to write all this up ;)

    It's much better :)

Seriously though, I think it's got everything that has, plus a fair bit more... and you can expect more features soon - including a dedicated theme to give you that wikispaces feel (it's very actively developed).

Plus, like all WPMU DEV stuff, it's 'guaranteed'!

yes this plugin is pretty cool! i use the wiki lite version unfortunately there is one thing i dont' understand:

i have the following wiki structure:

    topic
    -anothersubtopic1
    -subtopic2
    -subtopic3
    -subtopic4
    anothertopic
    -anothersubtopic1
    -anothersubtopic2

the wiki widget always shows only the first 4 entries but nothing more!? is this only in the lite version? please drop me a line!

    Hi konzeptzwei,

I believe it should be displaying all of the entries. We'll have to take a look into that.

I see you have 2 top-level wikis there. Did you by any chance have the option set to show only the top-level wiki in the widget options?

nope i double checked it. the "top level only" option is turned off! i really would like to puchase the pro version but this is a feature i cannot live without…

It appears it's been removed by wordpress.org as they didn't like how we were advertising the pro version :(

Still, we've stripped all of that out, but now they won't let us resubmit :(

You can still get the free wiki plugin at here at wpmu dev though.

    Hiya konzeptzwei,

We have an update, but it hasn't been put live on the wordpress.org repository :(

We've fixed it, but I'm not sure on the status of it being back up here. We'll let ya know once it is though.

    Thanks!

Does Wiki - Lite work with WP version 3.2 RC 1 ?

@konzeptzwei, yes you should be able to download the lite version from there as a registered free member.

@ArgentinaElections, that may be a matter of plugin incompatibility, but to get a better idea what's occurring, could you check your error logs to see what hints that might provide?

@SuperGM, yes actually. I've tested it using RC 1 and it appears to work just fine. There's not anything substantially different in 3.2 that would affect the plugin so I can't imagine there being any trouble there.

I'd like to take the WP sidebar off the wiki pages, but can't figure out which template is being used... not single.php. Can you tell me or is there a help file I'm not finding?

    Thanks.

Hi, I installed wiki lite, but it will only show single wikis, not wikis with subs.... any ideas?

It showed them for awhile, than all of a sudden they disappeared (the pages are still there in admin) but unable to show on site.

Yes, seriously, the sidebar is literally preventing our use/adoption of WP Wiki ... does anyone have an answer to this? We would hugely appreciate it.

Sorry, and to be more specific, our default template has a sidebar, but we have a "full width" template that we can easily switch to for pages and posts, but that option doesn't appear with this wiki plugin. Any suggestions? Please?

I like the wiki, but I cannot figure out how to make new wiki posts appear on the home page. Is there some code for this?

Also, the wiki pages seem to float on their own... is there a way to list the parent directories in the sidebar or main page so that users can click a directory of related wiki posts?

    @goweho,

No, there's no way to add a wiki to your home page. You'd have to mark the wiki page as home under Settings>Reading Settings in the admin.

We do hope to make the process of adding a wiki much easier in a future version, but for now this is the best method.

    Thanks!

    Hi -
I've started using the plugin on my site and am so far liking it very much! I've tried many many other solutions before, and this one looks like it will finally do what I want.
Anyway - my site's main page is the blog, and I need a way to link to the Wiki on my menu-bar. But I'm not sure if there is a way to do this? I mean, I can link to a specific wiki page, but what about linking to a landing page or table of contents?
As a temporary work around I've made a introduction wiki (http://www.hamalrad.com/wiki/home) and all other wikis will be sub-wikis of this page, but that's a sort of round-about solution.
    Thanks

i'm using the wiki lite plugin, and having some problems.

    the first is the tabs.

When I click on the "Discussion" tab, I'm brought to a normal wordpress "Leave a Comment" page. The page is not opening within the wiki, the navigation tabs "Page, Discussion, History..." are gone, and you must use the back button to return to the wiki.

The second question I have is adding extra content to the page the wiki is displayed on. I'm attempting to add posts above the wiki, which are related to the wiki article. I'd like the posts to be displayed up top, and the wiki below it. I'm struggling to understand how the wiki is called to the page it is on, and if this is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too am finding the lack of a Wiki landing page/directory quite a hindrance. Inserting the wiki in a widget does not provide a solution because it seems to randomly list every wiki and sub-wiki, despite my selecting to only display the top level. Will this be addressed in the next release? If so, how soon will it be available?
