    Hi,
I'm glad this plugin has a lively forum because I really could use some help!
Please understand that I have no knowledge of php, just some html and general WordPress experience. What I am looking for is to have a custom menu unfold when a specific page is called.

Please allow me to give a specific example. In the left sidebar of my site, there are a couple of menus ; one of them is called "Kritieken" (the site is in Dutch). It holds 8 parent pages with the first two each holding several child pages. I would like to have those parent pages to be folded when a visitor lands on the main page or on any post or page that does not belong to the pages in the respective custom menu, but opened if he lands on any of the child pages.

Say for example a visitor lands on "Naakt twaalfuurtje" after a Google search, I would like that page's parent page, "Elseviers Weekblad (’67-’69)" to unfold in the menu and display the child pages.

Can you please tell me what code I should put in the Widget Logic text field in the Custom Menu widget in order to accomplish this? I'd greatly appreciate, and I will definitely donate to the Cancer Fund.

    Thank you very much!

    Kindly,

    Rutger

WL could fake this functionality for you if you maintain 3 custom menus: with no child pages showing / with children of parent 1 showing / with children of parent 2 showing

Then you add them as 3 custom menu widgets and use WL to show the correct one. Very messy - if you want to add a parent item you have to add it to each custom menu…

Yuck. You might be better off looking around for a plugin that will do what you want. How about this one http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jquery-vertical-accordion-menu/ ?

    Thanks Alan,

The plugin you suggest is too difficult for me (no php knowledge). I am trying the 'Hierarchical Pages' plugin, and it seems to work. Thanks anyway!

    Kindly,
