• Before you tell me to use GD star rating and I’m forced to lost ratings or make re-rate all posts to my user 😀 , well I ask: thare’s a workaround for wp-postratings? As you’ll expect at page reload my users report it does not show new votes.

I added “ratings” to blacklisted db_cache objects after gdsr_ (the db table is wp_ratings), but I can’t be sure now if it is correctly working; should this be enough?

    Thanks.

  • hmmm….wp-postratings works fine for me with w3 total cache

W3TC doesn’t make you lose data, things are ok after adding ignored query stems?

    HI
I added “ratings” to the ignored query, there were no data lost but just a delayed showing, but now I can’t tell you if it works… ’cause I switched to gd star rating 😀

    Anyway, thanks

Well it would have been nice if you would have been able to confirm for other users with a similar question. Also I tend to add some of these settings to the default configuration for the benefit of the community.

Well, the problem is not a bad one, gd star rating imports data from other similar plugins, including wp-postratings, so, until its developer will officially claim his support to W3 total cache, users can switch with (almost) no problems.

My goal is to ensure interoperability wherever possible. So a conclusion to your original query actually has an answer in the FAQ (available at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/w3-total-cache/faq/ and the plugin’s FAQ.).

Oh thanks, but I don’t see the section of the faq ou mention, I just see the gd-star-rating section that was there yet before…

If the plugins are at all similar, the resolution is uncovered by either disabling database caching or enabling debug mode to identify the query and pasting a step (unique value like a table name) into the ignored query stems field of the database caching settings tab.
