Turning on HTML minification in W3 Total Cache breaks WordPress SEO.

For example, searching for "WordPress SEO" in the page source comes up with nothing. Meta tags aren't output properly.

Any thoughts on how to have HTML minification on and have WordPress SEO still function?

I doubt whether the meta's aren't output, it does remove the comments though, that's what minification does.

The comments are removed. And I was pretty sure the metas were removed, but I did more testing on multiple sites after seeing your reply, and now I don't think the metas are removed, but there is still something strange going on.

What prompted the original comment was no posts except for 1 were indexed by Google after having submitted a sitemap for more than a week. The 1 post that was indexed did not have the meta description set in the post.

I turned off HTML minification, and the next day all posts were in Google with the right metas.

On closer examination between the 2 sites today, on the troublesome site, the metas break where meta is on one line and the value (such as name='description') is consistently on the next line. I don't know why it is breaking that way, but could that have been the reason Google couldn't see the metas?

And I am fairly certain that the original tests I conducted did not have the metas in the page source, but now, after turning on HTML minification again and redoing the tests, they're there as I described.

The formatting changes you're describing are fine.
