Using the W3TC Development Version for WP 3.0.

I have the basic defaults set for Browser Cache settings, but when I check my site and look at the Firebug Page Speed test, I get the red exclamation mark next to "Leverage Browser Caching" and the message: "The following resources are missing a cache expiration. Resources that do not specify an expiration may not be cached by browsers. Specify an expiration at least one month in the future for resources that should be cached, and an expiration in the past for resources that should not be cached:"

Followed by a long list of jpg, css, js files.

There's also a whole section labeled: "The following resources are explicitly non-cacheable. Consider making them cacheable if possible:"

Followed by a bunch of png, css, js, etc. files.

Any suggestions on how to get Browser Caching to work?

    Thanks!

I had a similar experience using firebug and yslow. I used to set expire-headers manually in my .htaccess, but yslow kept complaining without noticing it.

With w3tc I have the same issue, but really I decided not to care about: it could be a firebug/yslow problem. If you really want to make sure, inspect the http headers of a session (or tcpdump/wireshark the session at the wire level).

It does work, what's wrong in your case is another matter entirely. Please submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin.

    Hi Fred,
I'm also facing the problem with WP-3 and W3TC. I installed the development version and tried as you told in the above conversations. http://techtipsgeek.com does not redirect to http://www..techtipsgeekcom. But if I disable the home page caching then that works. But the page performance decreases. Any solution?

Can you submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin and/or post your .htaccess directives here?
